Substance151 principal and creative director Ida Cheinman has been elected president of the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Maryland chapter – an organization dedicated to providing resources and educational opportunities for marketing and business development professionals in the architecture, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry.
Previously, Cheinman has served as education committee chair, programs co-chair and president-elect. As president, Cheinman will be responsible for leading the board and the chapter in advancing the SMPS mission: to advocate for, educate, and connect leaders in the building industry.
“It’s an honor to be joining the ranks of the remarkable SMPS Maryland past leaders and continuing the chapter’s legacy,” said Cheinman. “I am energized and inspired by our board of directors who are fully dedicated to serving the chapter membership. I look forward to further strengthening our chapter’s connections with the industry partners and the community and engaging our members and their firms with SMPS Maryland.”
Cheinman brings 15+ years of brand communications, design, marketing and management experience to SMPS Maryland. She has extensive knowledge of the A/E/C industry and has held leadership positions on a number of nonprofit boards.
