The website needed a full revamp – updating its design and enhancing its functionality to better serve SMPS Maryland’s needs and the needs of its members. It was critically important to build the new website on an intuitive content management system (the WordPress CMS was chosen for its scalability and ease of use), providing SMPS Maryland with full administrative access and customized workflow so that all content management and updates can be performed easily and efficiently by the chapter leadership and volunteers.
Taking the SMPS Maryland’s web committee through a rigorous planning and site architecture process, Substance151 was able to develop a navigational structure and layout design that provides a high-level overview of the chapter’s offerings, as well as an in-depth look into the wealth of available programs, education and resources – supporting the organization’s position as THE resource for “all things A/E/C marketing and business development.”
Designed with a great deal of flexibility – from multiple layout options to flexible content strategy to numerous backend “building blocks” – the site can evolve quickly and offers a room to grow. By incorporating chapter-wide announcements, program-specific content, Facebook photo libraries integration and more, we’ve created a website that’s robust, active and always relevant.
The new site design is modern, clean and dynamic and aligned with the chapter’s culture and personality. By putting SMPS Maryland’s members, volunteers and programs in the spotlight, the new website celebrates the SMPS Maryland community and creates an engaging and rewarding visitor experience.

It was a pleasure working with Substance151. They took the time to listen and fully understand our goals and objectives and translated them into a design that embraces the vision of SMPS Maryland moving forward. The team is extremely creative, knowledgeable, and responsive. I look forward to having the chance to work with them again!
